THE Morobe government has turned to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for help in addressing its power needs.
The provincial government has entered into agreements with AstralENERGY – Solar Manufacturing Corporation and AstralENERGY Project Management Services to supply 100 megawatts of electricity to Lae.
This follows the issue of regular blackouts plaguing the city.
AstralENERGY Project Management Services is a Dubai-based civil construction company specialising in development and engineering, procurement and construction of world-class sustainable and intelligent infrastructure.
President and chief technical officer Michael Levesque and chief executive officer Richard Boswell will be traveling to the province to meet with governor Luther Wenge to finalise details associated with the project, and in addition several other key infrastructure projects under the joint-venture between MPG and AstralENERGY.
