Morobean showdown in footy opener

THE deferred National Soccer League is finally set to start this weekend and in Lae the capital of Morobe the season opener game will be the battle of two brothers as Lae Football Club takes on Morobe United.

Lae FC is sponsored by Zilu Scientific and Panamex while Gigira Laitepo sponsors big brother Morobe United and the atmosphere at Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium will be set ablaze as both teams will be out to test the strength of each other in front of the local soccer fraternal and supporters.

The Lae FC side is boosted with rising young players who have blended well with experienced players as in Captain Kohu Liam, Ronald Warisan, Japhet Tiampo, Henry Roni and the Peka brothers Clement and Kalo and is coached by Peter Gunemba with his assistant Naro Orere and David Zamo (manager).
