Morobeans prove top bowlers, winning 11 gold medals

THE bowling champions for PNG Games, team Morobe, have maintained their title again, taking 11 gold medals home ahead of host NCD trailing behind with eight in the 4th   PNG Games held in Port Moresby.
Team Morobe have again proven themselves  to be the country’s best bowlers by defending their title.
Despite NCD’s triumph led-game in the first two matches played in pairs and triples, Morobe came from behind for a medal in the second fours and singles matches held at Defence Bowling club at Murray Barracks that ended last Friday.
In the men’s competition for pairs after round five, NCD picked up gold, followed by Morobe snatching silver while Team Eastern Highlands settled for bronze.
In the men’s triples, NCD snatched gold ahead of Morobe, who settled for silver, and Central bagged the bronze.
For women’s pairs, Morobe pocketed gold ahead of Madang, who settled for silver, while Team Western Highlands claimed bronze.
In the women’s triples, NCD forked gold, followed by Madang claiming silver and Team Western Highlands settled for bronze.
For the men’s singles, Madang snatched gold while Morobe picked up silver and Western Highlands settled for bronze.
In women’s singles, Morobe claimed gold, followed by Madang taking silver and NCD settled for bronze.
For the men’s final fours, Morobe won gold, followed by Eastern Highlands claiming silver and NCD picked bronze.
In women’s fours, Morobe picked up gold, Madang claimed silver and NCD settled for bronze.
