Mosoro right man for the job

Letters

THE appointment of John Mosoro as the PNG Forest Authority Service managing director is no mistake.
He has over 30 years of experience having started as a cadet with the Department of Environment and Conservation (now Conservations and Environment Protection Authority) after graduating from Unitech with a science degree in forestry, followed by a masters of science in forestry from the Australian National University.
He was acting deputy secretary and also later with Office of Climate Change and Environment Sustainability and, a year later, he was put in charge of that office.
He later worked with Petromin, MRA and others including his latest back with Prime Minister’s Department before his recent appointment as the NFS managing director.
Given the years of experiences in both the Government and private sector, he is well placed to drive the Government’s vision in forestry.
