THE Waigani Committal Court is expected to make a ruling on July 26 against three women who admitted to assaulting another.
Dona Robert, Agnes Robert and Eileen Robert, all from Pii village of Tari in Hela, admitted in assaulting Josie Lemson and causing injuries to her. Dona and Agnes are sisters and Eileen is the mother.
Magistrate John Kaumi, after assessing their admission, told them to return to court on July 26.
According to a police brief, Agnes was married to Lemson’s husband but she left when the husband decided to marry Lemson.
It is alleged that Lemson provoked Agnes through her words and Agnes brought her sister and mother and fought with Lemson.
The incident occurred on August 15 last year.
All three defendants admitted in committing the offence and appeared from a K500 bail each.
