Mother-of-one denied bail

A MOTHER-of-one who allegedly murdered another woman made her first appearance in a committal court in Lae and was denied bail.
Bathsheba Frank, in her mid-30s, from Tipsit village in Kabwum, Morobe appeared before magistrate Pious Tapil on Friday charged with the wilful murder of Margret Bowen.
Frank had her charge read to her.
She told the court that she had a four-year-old son who was now with her family.
Magistrate Tapil advised her to apply for bail at the National Court since the Committal Court does not have the jurisdiction to deal with offenders of murder and wilful murder.
Tapil adjourned the case to Feb 1 for second mention and allowed police to continue investigation.
