Mother wins car, will let daughter use to attend university

A MOTHER of two, Michelle Yapao, 40, won a Honda CRV in the City Pharmacy Ltd promotion.
As of yesterday, winners of six cars had been announced in the “Win 1 of 8 cars Christmas” promotion.
“I can’t express it. It’s unbelievable,” she said.
“I did not think that this kind of thing would happen to me because I have been in and around every Stop and Shop and writing on receipts and entering and didn’t really care.
Yapao, from Chimbu, was the first winner of the Badili Stop & Shop draw.
“I see it happing to others but now it is happening to me and I am so excited,” she said.
“I trust Stop and Shop, I always go there because the vegetables are local and affordable.”
Yapao said her daughter Tania, who would be doing her second year of law at the University of Papua New Guinea, would use the car to attend classes.
The family already has a car.
“I do have a car, but that’s my husband’s and I have been driving it around, however, thanks to this promotion, this is the first one I am going to own my own car,” Yapao
“I’m so happy and really blessed.”
The second place winner of SNS Badili draw was Seri Maraga, who won a K5,000 gift hamper and the third place winner was Allen Mahuru with a K2,000 shopping voucher.
