THE Motu Koita Assembly (MKA) has committed more than K470,000 to assist 5,774 elementary and primary school students in the Motu Koita villages.
MKA chairman Dadi Toka said parents should not worry about the parental component of school fees for this academic year.
“These payments are made for Motu Koita elementary and primary school students who applied for school fee assistance through the 2020 Motu Koita education assistance programme,” he said.
Toka urged parents and guardians to support their children’s education.
“We have done our part as the government. It is your duty as parents and guardians to be custodians of your children’s education.
“I will do my best to create opportunity for our Motu Koita children to reach their dreams and aspirations when they grow up.”
