NOMINATIONS for the Motu- Koita local level government elections closed yesterday when there was no request for extension, says Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen.
Election officers have started the order of draws for candidates contesting the Motu-Koita east council seats.
Trawen told a media conference yesterday that nominations for the Motu Koita LLG elections closed as scheduled at 4.06pm because there were no requests for an extension like in other provinces.
A total of 60 candidates in are in the for the president, council and women’s seats.
