POLLING for the Motu Koita Assembly (MKA) elections will take place on Tuesday, July 9, assistant returning office Roselyne Tobagane said yesterday.

Tobagane said more than 150 polling officials were undergoing a three-day workshop on the polling and counting processes.

“Preparations are going well with all electoral officials as well as intending candidates and the village is now in the polling mood,” she said.

Tobagane said 25 polling booths had been set up for both east and west Motu Koita villages and polling officials would be in selected in groups of five or more to man the booths. She also said counting areas were still to be finalised.
