KAIRUKU-Hiri MP Peter Isoaimo has called on all Central MPs and LLG presidents to work together to deliver services to their people.

Isoaimo said that at the first Central Provincial Assembly Meeting for 2014 at its provincial headquarters at Konedobu yesterday.

“As leaders, let us allow the spirit of cooperation to prevail in us so that it will enable us to deliver basic services to our districts,” he said.

The first-time parliamentarian said he was open to work with all the leaders of the province and had no grudge against any of them.

Isoaimo called for a proper and effective consultation and communication process to be observed at all times among all representatives of the province to ensure effective service delivery.

He said political affiliations must be set aside and played when the right time came, but for now as mandated leaders, the responsibility to serve the people must be made a priority.

He said Central leaders must have uniformity in their consultative and service delivery approach and that was the way ahead to see developments flow into the districts and communities.

Isoaimo was elected into Parliament as Kairuku-Hiri member this year after the by-election.

He thanked the LLG president and provincial government for carrying out the district’s duties and responsibilities when the district had no political representative of its own.

Governor Kila Haoda, who chaired the meeting, made similar comments about politicians and public servants working in unity to bring services to the province.
