DAULO MP Pogio Ghate is calling on students from the electorate attending higher education institutions to give their best in their studies.
Ghate paid K89,000 as school fee assistance to the University of PNG for Daulo students there.
“Set your priorities right, aim high to achieve your dreams and goals to become good leaders in your own communities, district, province and country,” he said.
“You are assets of the district.
“Be smart in your studies, and learn all you can because our people will depend on your leadership in the future.”
The school fee assistance came from the K1 million district service improvement programme funding.
Students attending the Pacific Adventist University, Divine Word University, University of Technology, and University of Natural Resources and Environment will also be assisted.
Ghate urged Daulo students’ leaders in the institutions to provide their students’ data so that proper screening could be made to pay their fees.
UPNG Daulo Students’ Association president Seniyo Moruwo said it was a relief because many students had been facing school fee problems.
