MP condemns cash handout mentality

Member for Karamui-Nomane Posi Menai has warned his people in Karimui not to expect free cash handouts because it will not bring tangible development.
Menai said that expecting free cash handouts and engaging in false claims would only stalled the process of development in their area.
He said there were certain procedures and requirements, adding that his district administration would not entertainment bogus claims.
He added that all funds must go to key development projects for implementation and not individual pockets.
“Anyone found misusing public funds or is involved in corrupt activities to raise false claims will be dealt accordingly,” he said.
