WEWAK MP Jim Simatab has bought a truck for the Revival Centres of Papua New Guinea, a Pentecostal church established in Wewak 31 years ago.

Pastor Dominic Dapue and church members waited last Thursday as Simatab drove the truck into the church compound at Kreer.

“Since the establishment of this church, we have supported the Government in rehabilitating those rejected by the society and making them become good people with Christian discipline,”

“The church has branches nationwide but not a single time in 31 years had we asked for government assistance because we believe that we must work hard spiritually and physically for God to bless us.”

He thanked Wewak Rural LLG president Francis Hevu for appreciating the clean-up work carried out by church members in town at no cost.

He had requested through the Wewak district committee to reward the church by buying a vehicle for its members.

The Revival Centres of PNG church in Wewak has done a lot of good work, especially in cleaning the town.

“Your work in converting youths from the lawless behaviour to Christianity is exceptional.

“I have heard of sick people coming here and getting healed. If treatment at the hospital can’t heal, come to RCPNG for healing.

“You have done a lot of good work for the district spiritually and physically and I feel that it is necessary for the district to support your mobility so that you continue the good work,” he said
