CHUAVE MP Wera Mori is assisting Chuave schools to build and maintain school infrastructure with a K3 million funding.

Mori said education was the top priority of the District Development Authority with an allocation of K3 million from the District Services Improvement Programme. Road, transport infrastructure and health top the list.

“Besides the Government Tuition Free Fee money given to each school, we give money to every school to build important infrastructure like classrooms, teachers houses, dormitories, ablution blocks, libraries, science and computer laboratories,” Mori said.

Mori has engaged district infrastructure project officer Lumba Lumuve to ensure that all the schools received funding to build infrastructure.

“Why I invest heavily in education is because we want to get quality instead of producing quantity,” he said.

Some schools that have already received funding are Mori Au Primary School (K50,000), Sirikoge Primary School (K45,000), Kertotopasi Primary School (K40,000), Bawi (K50,000), Elimbari Primary School (K50,000) and Gunn Primary School (K60,000).

Other schools who have not received their share will still get the money, Mori said.
