THE private training centre International Training Institute (ITI) was praised by the Government for producing competitive and market-ready individuals to the national workforce.

Ijivitari MP David Arore, who was the special guest at the school’s Open day on Saturday, said such education achievements obtained by ITI should be the main focus for all private education institutions as it elevated human capital, education standard and contributed to the service delivery in the country.

He said as development partners with the Government the private sector must be ready to put back development efforts into the country.

“I commend the ITI for its efforts in the education industry of PNG. The students it educates are well-trained and market-oriented as well as competitive individuals one can find in the workforce today.

“The private sector has played that important role over the years and I am happy and proud that the private-government partnership has achieved that goal.

“Such initiatives of the private institutions provide the best chance for school leavers who cannot continue through the formal education.

“The government is supportive of that and would like that private institutions continue to develop their initiatives for our young people,” he said.
