MP makes offer to reconcile with Sir Julius

NAMATANAI MP Walter Schnaubelt has made an offer for reconciliation with New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan.
Schnaubelt made the offer at the Kavieng Airport recently in response to women in Kavieng who protested upon his arrival, demanding that the three MPs, including Treasurer and Kavieng MP Ian Ling-Stuckey reconcile and work together for the good of the province.
Schnaubelt said he had no problem with the reconciliation.
“I’m happy to sit with Ling-Stuckey and Governor Sir Julius for a reconciliation ceremony,” he said.
“Let me place it here on record, I have offered reconciliation and peace to Sir Julius many, many times but he refused and he continues to use excuses that I don’t want to reconcile with him. This is not my problem. Let me declare it one more time here in public for my honourable governor.
“You name the place and time and I will be there with my pig and my misse (shell money).
“Come, let’s reconcile, no problem, you call the date and venue because you are the leader of the hausboi, so give me the order and I will be there.
“Enough of these deceitful behaviours, it’s unbecoming of a former prime minister and the governor of New Ireland to continue confusing our people, telling them I have refused his offer to reconcile which is false and he knows that too.”
