MP outlines projects – The National

EAST New Britain (ENB) Governor Nakikus Konga will outline his government’s projects approved in its 2021 budget of K416 million.
The provincial government prioritised 443 projects, eight of them will go towards the building of the provincial headquarters, four projects each will go towards the four districts, with two each for the 18 local level governments (LLGs) and one each for the 368 wards in the province.
Konga said most of the projects were supposed to have started last year but were delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said over the years, the provincial government had spent millions on renting office space so the Government wanted to secure funding for permanent administration offices.
Konga said major road upgrading and sealing was one of the projects.
“This will be an ongoing function for districts and LLGs to ensure positive delivery of Government policies are achieved as per the set dates of the projects to be completed,” he said.
