MP Phillip, focus on road networks for economic flow
The National, Tuesday March 25th, 2014
THE Menyamya MP has been silent for the last seven years and has done nothing for the district in terms of impact projects like roads, bridges, health and education.
I challenge him to say that I am wrong.
It is commendable for Eastern Highlands Governor Julie Soso to initiate the reopening of the road by allocating K500,000.
The MP must make that road project his priority so that it will boost economic activities in the district.
I urge Mr Phillip to experience what the simple people are going through. It is time that he helps his own Anga tribesmen to transport their cash crops to nearby markets by vehicle, and not by foot.
Allow me to organise your priority spending areas since you seem to operate without any plan: link road networks from the district to isolated communities like Tsewi, Lagai, Marawaka, Wailala, Ikundi, Tawa, Bema and Kanabea to encourage economic activities.
