IMBONGU, in Southern Highlands, will have an aid post in each ward to provide better healthcare to the people at their doorsteps, says MP Pila Niningi.
He announced this yesterday when delivering a new fully-kitted ambulance to the Buiebi health centre.
Niningi said the ambulance was part of the move to promote better healthcare to the people.
He said he wanted to make sure aid posts were built at ward level for people to be served properly.
“Health is one of my priorities and I will make sure this plan will be rolled out,” Niningi said.
Niningi said the Imbongu district development authority priority now was to establish several health centres, and ultimately focus on building a district hospital.
He said he bought a new ambulance for Pokorapul health centre, but it got stolen. “This is my vision and plan I have for my people,” Niningi said.
