MP praises Sir Michael

MAPRIK people in East Sepik have described Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare as a true leader who had brought many changes to the district, province and the country.
Sir Michael, currently the East Sepik Governor, visited Maprik and Angoram districts in the province as he celebrated the 38th Independence anniversary with the people.
Maprik MP John Simon told Sir Michael that Maprik people had a great respect for him.
Simon said the country had seen a lot of economic development through Sir Michael.
“You are true leader and father of this beautiful nation. Without you, we cannot come this far,” he said.
He said the people of Maprik would always be with Sir Michael.
Sir Michael said the Maprik people were the founders of Independence.
