KOKOPO MP and East New Britain Governor Ereman ToBaining Jnr received his K500,000 district support grant (DSG) from the Implementation and Rural Development Department this week.
ToBaining was the first MP from the New Guinea Islands region to submit his 2012 DSG acquittals.
The DSG component consists of K250,000 discretion and K250,000 non-discretion funds. Acquittals for both components were submitted to the department for accountability and transparency purposes.
ToBaining said the funds would be allocated to impact projects like health, education, agriculture, law and justice and to help youth and women’s groups to take part in community-oriented development projects that can transform the lives of his people.
