LAE MP Loujaya Kouza has donated two sewing machines to women members of the Lae United Church.

The women live on Malaita St in Ward Three of the Lae Urban local level government.

They received two sewing machines, an accessories box and two bowls of materials.

It coincided with a women’s fellowship programme to be held soon.

The presentation was done by the Lae District council of women’s president Aba Bamua on behalf of Kouza.

Witnessing the presentation were United Church Morobe circuit superintendent minister Reverend Jacob Harry and wife Elizabeth, Lae United Church Malaita St Congregation Rev Nao Nao and wife Sila and congregation members.

Lae United church women’s fellowship chairwoman Nellie Nigani thanked Kouza for the gifts.

“It has indeed helped solve the problem of borrowing sewing machines from the church members when there is hype of activities in the fellowship calendar to sew uniforms for different occasions,” Nigani said.
