PEOPLE of Mt Maria and Mt Brown who have settled at Sivigoro since the pre-colonial era received services for the first time from local MP and Minister for Justice and Attorney-General Ano Pala.

Located in Rigo, Central, the people of Sivigoro LLG, will now have their feeder road fixed to link the villagers to proper roads to transport market produce to Port Moresby and Kwikila.

Pala’s first secretary Basil Vere made the announcement for the construction of feeder roads from Sivigoro village to the junction of Saroakeina and Poligolo. He said the people of Sivigoro had been neglected for too long despite a population of at least 1000.

Vere said Pala would build playing fields in preparation for the start of the lower Sinavai villagers’ Ano Pala Cup soccer for men and netball for women.

The villagers were assured that they would receive roofing iron.

Sivigoro community leader Namo Tugo praised Pala’s contribution.
