MP visits electorate

National

Walter Schnaubelt visited his electorate in the west-coast central area of the Namatanai local level government to deliver tools, building materials and items to help villagers sustain their livelihoods.
His project 7928 was launched in wards 17 and 18 in Dampet.
Recipients from each ward received an item ranging from pig fencing, ovens, 2,000L water tanks, solar lights and roofing iron.
Schnaubelt assured those who missed out that more was on the way.
The highlight of the event was in wards 15 and 16 which was hosted at Kokola Primary School during the eve of 45th Independence celebrations by teachers, students, head master Warren Ronga and ward members.
The school also marked the opening of a double classroom and a new teacher’s house.
A bonus to the school was a commitment of K100,000 by Schnaubelt to build four more teachers’ houses.
