PARLIAMENT was forced to adjourn
yesterday because there was no quorum.
Speaker Jeffrey Nape adjourned the sitting to today after less than 35 parliamentarians – the number required for a quorum – attended.
It is expected to be the final parliament session before the issue of writs on April 27.
There are important bills that have yet to be tabled and debated on during this session.
Among them are the Boka Kondra Bill for an act to amend the Mining Act 1992, the bill for an act to amend the Oil and Gas Act of 1998 and the Climate Change Bill to be presented by the Minister for Climate Change, Belden Namah.
