MPs back church with K433,000

MOROBE MPs including Governor Ginson Soanu and the Huon Gulf development authority committed at total of K433,000 in funding support for church, district and development programmes.
The Huon Gulf development authority assisted the Kotec district conference with K146,000 during its 67th annual conference at the Zaka circuit.
Saonu also committed K70,000 to Kotec and K5,000 to eight other circuits.
Similarly, Bulolo MP Sam Basil, under the banner of United Labour Party, contributed K4,000 to Garaina circuit and K2,000 to Zaka as well as a commitment of another K25,000 to that (Zaka) circuit.
Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour said Morobe needed to combine a strong faith and ideals with sound business and development strategies for the province including its districts, to prosper.
He said the provincial government needed to support the church and include it in its service delivery and development programmes.
