MORESBY South MP Justin Tkatchenko has warned people harbouring criminals in the electorate that they will be evicted.
Tkatchenko addressed the people of Goilala, Central, at Two-Mile Hill in Moresby South, accompanied by National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop and Kairuku-Hiri MP Peter Isoaimo.
Tkatchenko said those involved in criminal activities were mostly unemployed.
He said he was fed up with criminal activities in the electorates.
“It has been many years now that people have been attacked in the electorate, killed or received life threatening injuries,” he said. “And enough is enough.”
Tkatchenko said six people were “fighting for their lives” at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
“We had a surge of criminal activities (recently) and we (cannot go on),” he said. “Unfortunately, 80 per cent of the criminal activities are caused by one ethnic group living in the electorate, which is causing great grief.
“That’s why all Goilala leaders are here today to hear from (Governor) Parkop and myself.
“Our main aim is to remove criminals from our communities, remove those who are harbouring these criminals.”
But he said they were against the eviction of everyone.
“We don’t want to demolish all of you,” he said.
“The plan is to get the criminals out of the community so people no longer live in fear.
“It’s about removing the criminals out of our communities.
“We have had enough of innocent people been attacked and killed.
“We can’t continue to go down that lane.”

  • If we allow these criminals to operate in settlements how are we going to Take Back PNG and declare PNG a Christian Country.
If we don’t do anything this Slogan will be a waste……
