I COMMEND Henganofi MP Robert Atiyafa for prioritizing education as one of his goals during his time in parliament. As a friend and a class mate to student Joel Minafi who will do his Masters in Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University in Australia next year, I am very proud of him and wish him and all the others very best in their studies. Let this be an eye opener to other MPs that there are young self-motivated citizens out there that need this type of help in there districts. Please go back to your own districts and fund students for such careers as pilots, lawyers and doctors. Such help would teach our communities back home that our young people are willing and able to further their education but because they lack funding, they take up jobs that they don’t want just to get food on the table.
