Mt Hagen vice-president Ambrose Toruore has called on the Papua New Guinea Football Association to conduct a refresher workshop for coaches and assistants during a two-week break.
Toruore told The National yesterday that the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League Highlands Conference would go into recess for two week from next week.
“We have some certified coaches while the others are not but because they understand the game, we appoint them for the roles,” he said.
“We should train coaches who do not have the certificates and help them understand their roles.”
Toruore said he wanted the workshop to take place because his head coach Aiyoka was not certified. “Since he was a former player and understands the game, we appointed him as coach,” he said.
“Ungia is helping us with his experience in soccer but we want to call a workshop so we can learn and help each other with knowledge.”
