IT will be a crunch match when University Inter FC take on the competition leaders Etsu Mungkas in the Ox & Palm women’s National Soccer League in Port Moresby tomorrow.
Former NSL manager Edward Tauloi said University should be the team to beat in the remaining matches.
He said University outclassed Hekari 6-0 in their last outing and it should be worthwhile preparation for their match against Mungkas.
“University were too good and will be the team to beat leading up to the finals,” he said.
With the return of former national women’s coach Francis Moiyap and Robert Popat, the team will be out for revenge after their first round defeat.
University will be without the services of Tracy Kig who has returned to Madang.
However, they have enough ammunition on the bench with players like Bianca Babaga, Scholastica Morabang, Lydia Kose, May Mogi and Patrina Vuri to fill her boots.
Otherwise, Moiyap is expected to field a strong side to face the competition leaders.
Lanky Linda Bunaga will be their last line of defence at goalkeeper while Aida Gerota, Fransica Mandoni, Janie Norrie, Miriam Louma will man the backline.
The midfield will be controlled by stylish Esther Kurabi, Barbra Muta, Pamela and Tokoi Norrie are some options available for Moiyap to  use to fill in the vacuum left by Kig.
The attacking duo of Esther Muta and Deslyn Siniu should run rings around Mungkas defence.
Mungkas have been getting some handy coaching tips from current national women’s coach Steven Mune to plot the University downfall.
Mungkas coach Cafu will be relying on midfielders to feed fast-finishing striker Fatima Rama to find the target.
In the midfield, May Liosi, Claire Tsuga and Ramona Morris must lift their performance. Mungkas backline will be manned by ever-reliable Cathy Horris, Esther Kenatsi, Vavine Hola and Dorcas Sesevo.
In the early match, Hekari face Yamaros.
In Lae, Bara meet Wau while PNG Power clash with Poro.
