The Waigani Committal Court has struck out an attempted murder case after no instructions were received from police for over three months.     Magistrate Cosmas Bidar dismissed the case against four defendants.
Bidar told the court that the case was brought before him on March 24
He said after three months and four days, the defendants – Gima Gaudi, David Gomara, Allan Resby and Dadi Tere all from Baruni – had still not been served police files.
“It’s past three months since the defendants were arrested and charged and there are no instructions from police ,” Bidar said.
Bidar said the alleged incident happened at Baruni and all witnesses lived in that area.
