Murder suspect nabbed

Police have arrested the man who allegedly killed a 40-year-old over a K100 dispute in Moresby North East on Wednesday.
The suspect was picked up in the Kerema Block by police following a tip-off by communities at 3pm yesterday.
Solomon Tolvita was killed outside his home at 4pm after he explained to the suspect that he did not have the K100 to repay his debt.

Tolvita told the suspect that he had already secured employment as a truck driver in Wewak and that he would return to settle his K100 debt.
However, the suspect allegedly slashed him to death in his head and face. Tolvita was from Malalauwa’s Kukupi village in Gulf while the suspect is from Hela.
Tolvita was married with two wives and has seven children.

  • Just impose death penalty / life impression to that Tarian primitive culprit. Enough is enough,claim peoples life for just minor issue is not good. Em longlong ples yah, penal bitim em good..
