YET another Rhythm and Blues sensation is heading to PNG shores today for a performance tomorrow night.
The old guard of soul and R ‘n B fans should remember Tevin Campbell, the five-time Grammy Award nominee and winner of the Young Artist Award for his first single in 1990 and Soul Train Music Award in ’94.
Campbell will hit the stage at The Cosmopolitan at Vision City in Port Moresby.
It is organised by international artist tour and promotion company Ginnen Group based in Australia and New Zealand.
Aaron Thompson, of the Ginnen Group, said the company was about bringing in acts to suit the PNG.
Campbell’s long awaited latest album (since 1995) is soon to be released and PNG will have a chance to see  him performing before it comes out.
Tickets have been set for K50 (early birds), K70 for general admission, K100 for the Crystal Lounge and K200 for meet and greet with Campbell.
Thompson said a media conference was expected to be held today.
The next visiting artist to PNG will be revealed at the conference.
“We will be announcing the next artist as well in the next 48 hours which will be the biggest so far,” he said.
