AHI leader Benson Nablu who was one of the thirty-one contestants for the Lae Open seat has come out to publicly congratulate Loujaya Toni for her win as the new member-elect.
Nablu pointed out that her win was a first of its kind as she is the only female MP from Morobe and regardless of who has won or lost everyone should lay their differences aside and cooperate with Loujaya to develop Lae.
Nablu also thanked former members like of former Lae MP Bart Philemon who had contributed immensely to the development of Lae and Morobe along with other members around the province who were ousted from their seats.
“It’s a game. We spent money and resources but win or lose, it’s a game. I now ask all the other candidates to support Loujaya as I myself am pledging my support to work with her,” Nablu said.
He said over the years local leaders were trying to unite people from the six villages and now, with the unity shown by national leaders in the bid for the formation of the ninth government, it was up to Loujaya to work towards uniting everyone in the province, especially in Lae city.
Also speaking as the Chairman for Angau Memorial Hospital,  Nablu called on Loujaya to make time to meet for a briefing on a submission that will be presented to the National Executive Council for work on the hospital.
