Namah has no say on polls

I SALUTE Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen for standing his ground by stating clearly that the election is to be held as scheduled and dismissing Belden Namah’s claim that the electoral rolls are not ready.
Namah should do his homework before making such statements.
The general election is an important aspect of our democracy and no one, including the deputy prime minister, can make amendments as and when they like.
The Constitution states clearly the procedures and the powers vested in those who have a say on the elections and it is certainly not for Namah to declare that it be postponed.
