NAMBAWAN Super Limited has increase its presence from 17 branches to 30 or more with a strategic partner to increase a distribution reach.

A statement released said this would enable NSL to concentrate on managing service outcomes without the complexity and cost of managing idle times at branches, caused by frequent telecommunications link downtimes, electricity downtimes and other associated challenges.

NSL has a membership of 60,000 public servants at the district level including 40,000 teachers, 5000 police officers, 5000 health workers and 10,000 public servants.

“In terms of geographical coverage, the  members are disadvantaged given the inconvenience of long distances and cost of travel associated with visiting NSL branches,” the statement said.

By justifying membership numbers in certain locations, Nambawan Supper Limited has proposed the following sites to open new outlets – Arawa, Daru, Kerema, Tari, Kainantu, Ramu, Namatanai, Misima, Maprik, Aitape, Bulolo, Lihir, Bialla/Hoskins and Kokoda.

NSL will not close any existing branches but will be relocating all provincial branches to operate out of Post PNG offices with the exception of Lae, Hagen, Goroka, Kokopo and Port Moresby.
