Chairman Reg Monagi said Kitchnoge was a well-respected and experienced professional who brought nearly 20 years of experience in PNG’s financial sector.

“He followed this with six years gaining of experience at some of PNG’s biggest businesses including as head of research and advisory with Kina Funds Management, the licensed investment managers for Nambawan Super.”
Kitchnoge was appointed last year as deputy chief investment officer “for upskilling and knowledge transfer through a well-managed transition”.
“(To be) Nambawan Super’s chief investment officer is a big job, responsible for an ever-growing pool of capital, invested in assets worth more than K8 billion, savings of the 200,000-plus members who expect their retirement savings to grow,” Monagi said.
He thanked Dominic Beange who had worked for the fund for the past two and half years, initially as a consultant before being appointed chief investment officer.
“Beange had the task to safeguard and grow member savings, and find a talented, replacement,” he said.
“He has been working to upskill investment professionals during his time with the Fund, but also for more than five years in senior roles with Kina Bank and Nasfund.”
