The National, Tuesday 09th April, 2013

THE National’s newspaper stands in various parts of Lae City will be more apparent now with street sellers adorned in the company colours.

While many ardent newspaper readers can easily find their closest vendors, many others find they have to move to the next closest location because the papers run out on many occasions.

Locating The National’s newspaper stands will no longer be difficult with the handing over of company T-shirts and bags last Friday to delighted sellers.

Five contractors service the 80 newspaper stands within and on the outskirts of the Morobe capital.

The company’s Lae factory prints an average of 20,000 newspapers from Monday to Friday with city sales estimated at 13,000 per day, according to circulation supervisor Mathew Wanama.

Lae also prints and distributes newspapers to Goroka, Kainantu, Madang and Ramu.

With nationwide newspaper sales doubling that of our nearest rival, The National is currently looking to reach more people in the country and seeks sales contractors for the main provincial outlets as well as other areas in the country.
