Speaker Jeffery Nape has let the people of Sinasina-Yongomugl down big time.
Since entering office in 2002, he has failed to deliver much needed services.
Roads, schools and health centres have deteriorated and in danger of falling apart because there is no maintenance.
The people are struggling to make ends meet and are forced to walk for days to sell their produce or to seek health and education services.
The health centre in Koge is falling apart in front of our eyes and the more than 20,000 people of the electorate are being denied medical treatment.
Many have died as a result.
We cannot take our agriculture produce to Kundiawa because the road linking Koge, Gunangi, Kere, Kepai, Dinga and Dom is worse than pigs’ track.
Even a four-wheel drive is unable to travel on it.
It seems time has stopped in Sinasina-Yongomugl and we are now back in the Stone Age.
While his people are suffering and dying like flies, Nape is enjoying life in Cairns.
What a shame.
