Nasfund calls on members to register online for easier access

Nasfund members are encouraged to register online to access their balances or printouts to save time and cost.
This reminder follows the report provided by Port Moresby’s Boroko branch and Lae branch when kicking off the Super Saturday initiative at the weekend.
Both branches reported that the most-enquired service was checking and printing of member statements.
Boroko noted 66 from 132 members while Lae had 58 from 80 members who visited the branch on Saturday.
Nasfund’s member online portal was introduced in 2017 to provide members the ease to register to have access to their superannuation accounts and to print statements at their convenient time and place.
To date, the fund has registered more than 18,000 members which is about 10 per cent of its total active membership base.
The member online services are available and can be accessed through mobile phones and desktops.
The fund is working on rolling out members’ kiosks soon.
This will be self-service kiosks placed at high traffic centres for members to print out their
statements, check their balances and superannuation account details.
Chief executive Ian Tarutia, who was at the Boroko branch to for the first Super Saturday initiative, said that while the focus was with the two major traffic centres in Port Moresby and Lae, “Nasfund will also be opening its call centre on Saturdays from 9am to noon to take enquiries from other parts of the country”.
“We are cognisant of the high expectations of our membership, especially around services, thus this year will be an extra focus in this area,” he said.
“We are progressing a few initiatives and looking forward to rolling out the deliverables later this year to uplift services for our members’ benefit.”
