Nasfund plans on providing kiosk for members

NASFUND will be introducing new technology to improve the delivery of information services to its members.
It will be setting up kiosk machines which members can access to get their statements and other information, according to Members Services chief officer Charlie Gilichibi.
It is expected to start in about six weeks.
“Internally we have trialled it and its working,” he said.
“But we need to build backup networks and analytic software into it.
“This will allow us to get an alert when paper and ink run out.”
Gilichibi said about 30 percent of Nasfund members were turning up at Nasfund branches to get statements and other information.
“If we provide the kiosk system at our branches or major retail centres at Waterfront and Vision City, we will be extending the reach for members
(to) get their statements,” he said.
The statements can be printed out on the machine.
“Members can just place their fingers on the machine and it will show all their information (which) they can print out,” Gilichibi said.
“Members can also check on the progress of their applications.
“It will speed up the process.”
