NASP to be completed this month

The National Agriculture Sector Plan (NASP) 2019-2029 will be completed by the end of this month, says team leader of the experts’ working group putting together the plan, Valentine Kambori.
He said this after the Southern Region consultative workshop on the NASP at 17-Mile outside Port Moresby last Friday.
The group held workshops in Madang (Momase), Mt Hagen (Highlands) and Kokopo (Islands) before this final one.
“We want to have a draft ready by end of May,” Kambori said.
“We haven’t done the institutional consultations, donor consultations and peer review yet.
“We should then go to Government for approval.
“The highlight is the National Agriculture Summit in Lae at the end of May where Agriculture and Livestock Minister Benny Allan, will present it to the agriculture fraternity.”
