National’s shipping pages a letdown

THE National’s editorial team needs to get out of its comfort zones and find real shipping news.
Shipping in PNG is not confined to PNG Ports and Brian Riches.
While it is good that we are informed of the latest at PNG Ports, it has become a turn-off to read about PNG Ports every Tuesday.
I am sure there are many shipping stories, news and features out there.
The reporters stop relying on prepared statements and do some of their own research instead.
I am sure The National is not paying the reporters to be PNG Ports public relations unit.
Reporters should have a nose for news.
I must say the Post-Courier’s shipping section is so much better and there is a good variety of news.
