The National, Monday September 7th, 2015
THE National Fisheries Authority (NFA) has assisted Morobe Students from the University of Papua New Guinea to carry out an awareness programme.
Morobe Students union secretary Sedrick Ringwaku said the K10,000 cheque was purposely to host the Morobe Provincial Day on Sept 13 and also help in funding some of their awareness programmes.
“The money would be used for awareness based on health, education, social issues, law and order and environment,” Ringwaku said.
He said the end of year awareness programme was launched by Bulolo MP Sam Basil in July 2015.
“The programme will start at the end of second semester in Markham and Finschhafen,” he said.
He said the awareness would continue to the other districts in the following years to come.
