LEADING soft drink company Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) yesterday announced a K10,000 sponsorship package towards the hosting of the 2011 Coca-Cola National Women’s Snooker titles.
PNG Billiards and Snooker Association (PNGBSA) vice-president Roger Wilson said this was the sixth year Coca-Cola had supported the event.
He said participation by women was growing with the numbers increasing every year.
CCA sales manager Brendon Bonn said the company was proud to once again back the successful PNG women’s snooker titles.
“This sponsorship is a reflection of the importance CCA has in supporting women in sport,” Bonn said.
The 2011 Coca-Cola women’s national titles will cue off on June 2-5.
Nominations are now open.
“The nomination fee is K150 and will close on June 1,” Wilson said.
He said that they were looking at 40 players to register.
The tournament director is Richard Whitchurch.
Wilson also thanked gold sponsors Pacific MMI, Imprint, Graffitti Signs, silver sponsors Freeway Motors, Boina Investments, Bestcars, Lamana Hotels, PNG Gardener and bronze sponsors SED Optical, Golden Kina Haus and Perfect Tea.
“Thank you all and Coke for supporting the 2011 Coca-Cola women’s national snooker titles,” Wilson said.
