Nature Park open for Games visitors

 THE Port Moresby Nature Park is home to Tura the Kokomo for the duration of the 15th Pacific Games in Port Moresby.

On display is Bob, the park’s resident Kokomo. 

Athletes and officials free and unlimited entry to the park until July 22.

The park is providing free transport to athletes from the nearby Games Village.

Park general manager Michelle McGeorge said there were good number of visitors who had visited the park. 

“We have seen teams coming through our gates – Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Fiji and Australia – just to name a few,” McGeorge said. 

The park will provide an onsite craft market sponsored by PNG Tourism Promotion Authority to allow all athletes the opportunity to purchase gifts and souvenirs. 

The craft market will be open every day from 9am to 3.30pm and has a wide range of traditional Papua New Guinea artefacts.
