Auditor-General Philip Nauga appeared again at the Waigani Committal Court Committal yesterday on charges of abuse of office.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar adjourned Nauga’s case to July 17 to allow his lawyer Paul Othas to make submissions on the evidence provided by police.
Nauga was charged with one count of conspiracy, one count of misappropriation and one count of abuse of office.
Originally from Boregaina in Rigo, Central, Nauga was charged after two contracts were awarded to private accounting firm, Frank Benabo and Associates, to conduct audit inspection on the Aitape and Mendi district services improvement programme books from Jan 1-Dec 31 in 2012.
