NCD aim to top medals tally at Games

TEAM NCD have solved their in-house problems and are looking forward to finish at the top with the highest number of medals at the 4th PNG Games this year.
The games ar start this afternoon with the opening ceremony followed by the different sports kicking off their respective competitions.
Concerns raised earlier in The National regarding the type of food the athletes were having while at the UPNG campus have been resolved.
The athletes had earlier stated that they were not fed properly over the last couple of days.
Team NCD general team manager John Boino had earlier said  that whatever provided for during the last few days were not budgetted for until the games began today. 
Team NCD assistant team manageress Janet Haua told The National that concerns raised regarding meals was “now a thing of the past”.
She said the competitors should now be focusing on the games.
Team NCD are hoping to collect medals in bodybuilding, athletics, rugby sevens, boxing and netball.
They will also give Team Central a good run for their money as they are out to defend the rugby league nines title.
Team NCD will also be defending their volleyball and netball titles as they look forward to the start of their respective competitions.  
Yesterday, Team Central received a major boost from bemobile Limited with the company donating merchandise to members of the team who are camping at Bavaroko Primary School.
Team Central will be wearing T-shirts and caps which were given by PNG’s mobile phone company during the games as part of the company’s drive to promote its products.
