NATIONAL Capital District Schools Rugby League (NSRL) competitions have been put on hold to allow for player registration and affiliation fees to be settled, says coordinator Joseph Dongari.
He said the organisers, responding to a call from Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) national development manager Toksy Nema, gave until the end of this month for schools to register their clubs.
The competitions are Moresby South, Moresby North-East and Moresby North-West.
Dongari said most of the schools had shown interest in competing, but were yet sort out their affiliation and player registration fees.
“The affiliation fee for schools is K300 and player registration fee is K30,” he said.
Dongari, who is the competition coordinator for Moresby South, called on all the schools to register their players in U14, U16 and U18 for boys, and U16 for girls.
“The proper season for the primary and secondary schools will start this weekend, but we need to confirm the teams before going ahead,” he said.
“If any school has registered their club and their players without his notice, I urge them to bring the receipt for us to take note.”
For schools that have not affiliated their school clubs and registered their players can pay direct to PNGRFL NSRL Account number 7011593964.
